Mom's Date Nut Bars
Ingredients
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup sugar
- 8oz package dates, chopped
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 heaping cup self-rising flour
- 3/4 cup canola oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- powdered sugar
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, beat together the eggs and sugar until well blended. Add the dates, pecans, flour, oil and vanilla extract. Mix by hand until blended. Pour into an ungreased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly golden. When cool. sift powdered sugar over the top. Cut into bars.
